Terms of service

Effective August 2026

1. Agreeing to these terms

Flicker is a live looking-for-group board where you find lobbies for your games, play together, and stay in touch with the people you clicked with. By creating an account or using Flicker, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Flicker. Anyone under 13 may not create an account, and accounts found to belong to someone under 13 are removed.

When you sign up we ask for your birthdate, and you must provide it truthfully. Your birthdate places you in an age group — 13 to 17, or 18 and over — and everything you see on Flicker stays within that group. Because so much depends on it, your birthdate cannot be changed after signup, and giving a false one is a serious violation: accounts that misrepresent their age are terminated.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself — you're responsible for what happens on your account. Use one account, keep your details accurate, and don't impersonate other people or pretend to be someone you're not.

4. Acceptable use

Flicker works when lobbies feel good to join. Don't harass, threaten, or demean other players. No hate speech, no spam, no scams, no posting anyone's personal information. Don't try to get around age groups, blocks, or any other safety feature, and don't access the service by automated means or interfere with how it runs.

5. Your content

You own what you write on Flicker — lobby titles, chat messages, and your profile text — and you give us permission to display it within the service so lobbies work. Lobby chat is ephemeral: it disappears shortly after a lobby ends. We may remove content that violates these terms.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with misrepresenting your age and harassment treated most seriously. You can stop using Flicker at any time, and you can contact us to delete your account.

7. Disclaimers

Flicker is provided as is. We don't guarantee that lobbies will fill, that sessions will go well, or that the service will always be available. Flicker is not affiliated with or endorsed by the publishers of the games listed on it. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, which for a free account is nothing.

8. Changes and contact

We may revise these terms as Flicker evolves. If we make a meaningful change we'll post the new version here, and continuing to use the service means you accept it. Questions go to support@flicker.gg.
